To help raise as much for Sport Relief as I can, I have listed below some specific ways in which I need help. I will, of course, entertain any other offers. I have a contact page with some details if you'd like to get in touch.
I'd be thrilled if you could help get my challenge more coverage, so if you'd like me to send you some posters for your car, offices or work place, local area, shopping centre or anywhere else, please get in touch. I can supply in A4, A5, A6 or business card size; laminated, card or just paper. If you are in a position to provide advertising from a media outlet and could give me a slot or mention, I'm all for it.
I will be needing more card, laminating sheets and possibly printer ink if I have a lot of requests for advertising material. Whilst not expensive, every bit helps. Please get in touch beforehand.
Although I walk and cycle a fair bit this is something completely different to what my poor body is used to. I am doing warm-up and cool-down walks and stretches but if you can provide expertise in this area, or can donate massaging services to help ease the aches it will help out (I am being serious!)
Any words of encouragement help me to keep putting one foot ahead while practising, so keep them coming! If you can make it I will be heading toward the Heath at 10am most mornings to practise. Have a seat on one of the benches and yell at me occasionally! If you could make it to the day it would bowl me over to see a familiar face, especially if you dressed up and shouted at me. I'll donate £5 for every person that cheers me on personally with a Megaphone.
If you're able and willing you're welcome to stalk me while I'm practising, to help jimmy me along. (Bob Ayer: I'll hold you to your offer!)
You could also try bringing a horse whip in case I don't bring those knees high enough or tempt me along another hundred yards with a yummy sweet snack.
James, a computery and similarly mad friend, jokingly suggested taking a laptop with wireless Internet and a webcam to show the whole thing live on the Internet. This isn't such a far-fetched idea, but my laptop doesn't hold the battery charge for as long as it used to and I cannot afford it being involved in an accident. I can't afford to buy a suitable machine myself so I'd love to hear from you if you can help out and sponsor such equipment, which can be auctioned off or donated to Sport Relief afterwards. I don't know what wireless facilities are available at The Mountbatten Centre so this would need looking into as well.
